Coming Soon - Online Introductory Officiating General Principles Course.

The Introductory Officiating General Principles online course is being developed to assist officials in learning the basic skills they will need to officiate effectively.  The course is currently in the final stages of development and testing.

The online course covers a range of general officiating topics, including ethical responsibilities of officials, preparation for officiating, safety, communication, dealing with conflict and people management.  The course will take approximately four hours to complete, and there is assessment included within the course.  The course will initially be available free of charge to Australian officials.  This is due to a subsidy provided by the ASC, as an initiative to encourge beginner officials to undertake training.  The course will be available from the ASC online learning portal at https://learning.ausport.gov.au from approx end of March 2008.
